I am a curious and compassionate counselor who genuinely wants to support you. I resist using the word “help,” as I believe that people are capable of helping themselves. I also resist viewing my clients as “patients.” Instead, I prefer to see my clients as equals who are struggling in certain areas of their lives (we all struggle in one way or another). The “doctor / patient” model is too stuffy!
I received a Dual Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University. I also have experience in psychiatric settings, colleges, and outpatient mental health clinics. I “work” six days a week but it doesn’t feel that way. To say that I love what I do would be an understatement. I look forward to supporting you through trauma and any other life stressors. 🙂
