I believe everyone can improve their level of functioning and reach an optimum level of health when adequate community supports are in place to meet financial, medical, educational, and social needs. Because everyone is unique with the issues they present, I employ an eclectic approach with a strong emphasis on cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness and EMDR. I find this approach provides an ability to fully understand the impact destructive thinking patterns and subsequent emotions have on daily functioning. People presenting with grief, anxiety, PTSD and depression can reach an optimum level of functioning through cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and EMDR processing.
