We here at Brave Acorn help people in the greater Portland area align body, mind, emotions, and intersectional identities in their daily lives. We nurture strong roots for personal growth and welcome people of all sizes, races, religions, gender identities, and sexual orientations. We are trauma-trained, take a Health at Every Size approach to food and weight issues, and encourage people to work with their body and emotions as allies (rather than enemies) on their journey towards growth and healing.
I have worked in crisis response for victim services and mental health since 2013 and outpatient mental health since 2022, meeting people in a variety of life circumstances, mental health concerns, and trauma experiences to provide support and facilitate hope. I have worked with individuals and families across the lifespan from many cultural backgrounds of race, ethnicity, disability and health, family structure, and diverse identities. My therapeutic approach is to engage with your strengths and values to support mindful awareness, change, and healing, whatever that looks like for you and the life you desire.
