Lynette Davis is a 14-year psychotherapist specializing in trauma, which also includes depression, grief, anxiety, PTSD, and physiological issues in the body, including pain. Emotional and physical pain can many times comes from relationship issues, as well as abuse from narcissistic individuals or areas of poor attachment. Ms. Davis uses an eclectic approach when working with clients, but some of those mental health models include the CBT models, including classic CBT using changing the way you think, DBT by learning ways to regulate emotions, and ACT by learning how to sit with emotions instead of avoiding them. All of these will help to eliminate overwhelming emotions, not just mask them. Other modalities include those for trauma CPT, EMDR, the Flash Technique, somatic therapies, such as Polyvagal, and CBT for trauma. Ms. Davis will meet you where you are with relationship issues, both work and familial, communication, behavioral, and feeling stuck.
