I am a recent graduate of Wayne State University with a Master’s in Counseling and Art Therapy. During my schooling, I was provided an opportunity to be trained with the Flash Technique. I am able to administer the somatic bridge, FT with grief work, and the standard FT protocol. I combine the foundation of FT and integrate it with my art therapy background within the same session. At this time, I am a limited licensed counselor working towards full licensure and a registered ATR-P. I currently work with at-risk or high opportunity youth and young people that have high scores of four or more of adverse childhood experiences better known in our field as ACEs. I am a cross-cultural therapist that works primarily with marginalized communities. I work to create a safe and transparent space with all clients I serve. I currently work for a 24 hr sexual assault/HT center based in Detroit MI for those with lived experience in these spaces. Through this organization, I am able to utilize FT with my clients to process images, feelings, and grief associated with triggers or traumatic events.
