A bit about my Background:
I trained as a clinical psychologist and have worked across NHS, non -profit and private settings for 28 years. As an independent practitioner I now work with individual clients, hold contracts with Compassion in Dying and Pathway, North London, and mentor Doctoral trainees on the Clinical Psychology Course at The University of Surrey. I also act as an expert witness and provide supervision, training and consultancy services to psychologists, health professionals and organisations.
The Type of Challenges I Can Help With:
In my therapeutic practice, I work with adults in relation to Anxiety, Panic, Phobias, Depression, OCD, Grief and Loss, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and associated problems as well as Relationship Issues, Workplace Wellbeing and Ongoing Pain, Physical Illness and Disease.
The Way I Work:
Using a collaborative approach, I work integratively, drawing on my specialist training in Attachment Informed EMDR and The Flash Technique together with the the following models and perspectives, so that each client is provided with a bespoke, evidence-based package of care: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy(CBT); Compassion Focussed CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; Psychodynamic Concepts; Systemic Models; Strengths Based Models such as Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
