I offer an integrated, trauma-informed care tailored to individual needs. My work draws on EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a structured evidence-based approach that supports the processing of traumatic memories and associated distress. EMDR utilises bilateral stimulation and guided reprocessing to help clients reduce the emotional intensity of troubling experiences and strengthen adaptive beliefs.
Alongside EMDR, I offer the Flash Technique, a contemporary adaptation developed within the EMDR framework that facilitates rapid reduction in the distress associated with traumatic or distressing memories. Unlike traditional exposure-based trauma work that requires sustained focus on painful material, the Flash Technique allows processing with minimal conscious engagement with the memory, making it an accessible and less distressing option for many clients struggling with intense symptoms. Flash can be used as an adjunct to EMDR or as a stand-alone intervention to gently reduce memory-related disturbance while maintaining client safety and comfort.
