Ahu Koseoglu was born in Istanbul in 1973. She went to elementary school in California, USA (completed at Sisli Terakki Elemantary School in Levent, Istanbul) and high school in Dost College, Istanbul. She graduated from Bogazici University with high honors from the departments of “Psychology” and “Political Science and International Relations” (double major).
Following graduation, she joined the Arthur Andersen Human Capital team in Istanbul as an Executive Search and Selection Consultant and later co-founded the Training Consulting Department. She worked on both local and international projects focusing mostly on assessments, recruitment, training and instructor audit.
Following the merger between Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young in Turkey, she joined the Ernst & Young Global Human Capital team based in London, initially as the team’s ‘European Learning Manager’, then advanced to the post of ‘Europe and APAC Learning Manager’ and finally became the ‘Global Learning Leader’.
She later founded her own company LEADD (Learning and Development Dimensions) Consulting and continued to work exclusively with Ernst & Young Global Human Capital in London, as an instructor, instructor auditor, learning and development consultant, speaker, speech coach and executive coach, taking an even more strategic perspective on many international projects.
As her corporate career progressed, she was invited to share her experiences academically as a part-time lecturer at Yeditepe University. During this period as her corporate perspective became more individualized, she began to shift her focus back to psychology.
Combining her 20 year consulting experience in talent development with the training she received at the Tavistock Center for Couple Relationships in London and a Family Counselling Master’s Program in Istanbul where she was valedictorian, she focused her work on people and relationships, with a systemic perspective.
She currently provides counseling for individuals and couples in the areas of relationships, communication, work-life balance and divorce with a trauma informed approach. She also continues to work with firms as a corporate therapist and trainer, as part of Aktosun & Koseoglu, which she co-founded.
As she has spent a large portion of her personal as well as occupational life abroad or on international projects, she provides counseling services in English as well as Turkish.
As she developed her private practice, she also continued her academic career as a part-time lecturer at the Bahcesehir University in Istanbul.
She is the proud mother of two daughters.
Ahu Koseoglu is an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner.
