I have been providing therapy (counseling, “talk-therapy”, and psychotherapy) for most of my nursing career. I have a Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus in Mental Health and Addictions. I have formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Grief Counseling, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Emotional Freedom Technique, Meditation, Mindfulness and Expressive journaling.
I meet clients where they are, using a trauma-informed, non-judgmental approach. I strive to work with clients to find therapeutic techniques and solutions that the client is comfortable and confident with, while using holistic and compassionate care. I believe that the client-therapist relationship is a collaborative relationship where we can safely explore strengths and work on growth, healing, recovery and wellness. It is an honour and privilege to work with clients and have them place their trust in me as their therapist.
