Agata works alongside adults looking for relief from new stressors or long-standing challenges. Her focus includes mental health, addictions, and psychological trauma/PTSD. Agata also has an interest in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, life transitions, and/or living with personality disorders; she spent a portion of her practice working in the violence against women sector.
Agata provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions that utilize cognitive, emotional, and somatic practices focusing on thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations. She is formally trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), as well as Clinical Hypnosis. Agata’s work also draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness Therapy (MFT). She grounds these modalities with an anti-oppressive, culturally-humble, attachment and polyvagal-informed foundation.
Agata views therapy as a collaborative process rooted in respect, compassion, and patience. She believes it is meant to elicit your strengths and build resilience to increase a sense of control in your life. Agata approaches therapy by cultivating a non-judgmental space for your self-exploration and pursuit of goals. She is passionate about supporting those who feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or alone.
