I have been practicing social work for nearly ten years and have worked with children, youth, and adults. I received a Bachelor of Social Work from Memorial University and a Master of Social Work from Dalhousie University. Since that time, I have completed a variety of continuing education to enhance my clinical skills and stay engaged with recent modalities and research. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Flash Technique, Complex Trauma, and Trauma Informed Yoga.
During my career, I have worked with children and youth in foster care and group care, individuals managing addictions (active or recovery), and developmental disabilities. I also have experience with navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, attachment wounds, and trauma. Some other areas of interest include relationship issues, self-esteem work, and co-parenting.
