I believe in an empathic therapeutic relationship as central to change, working collaboratively with clients to integrate a variety of evidence-based practices to suit each individual and their presenting problems. My therapeutic stance is informed by explorative guidance in aiding clients to attain a deeper insight into the nature and roots of their problems, to build resilience, and reduce their symptoms.
I assist clients who experience mood, anxiety, and behavioural problems, unresolved trauma, as well as helping clients who have difficulty adjusting to loss, and who battle with poor self-esteem, social anxiety, addictions, self-harm, and relationship issues.
My treatment methods include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Psychodynamic processes.
