I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, anger, relationship problems, trauma recovery, loss and grief, as well as crisis and life transitions. I help individuals and couples recover from painful experiences, overcome barriers that interfere with relationships and wellbeing, and find healthy, satisfying approaches to problems.
My counseling perspective is that we are naturally inclined to heal and to fulfill our potential. I help people to identify what interrupts growth and healing, and to cultivate new approaches. I support and challenge people to explore the physical, social, spiritual and psychological aspects of problems and new possibilities.
My counseling approaches include EMDR, Flash Technique, Gestalt, mindfulness, CBT, and CIMBS therapy (complexintegrationmbs.com). I have extensive experience, training, and education in treating PTSD. I hold a Master of Arts in Education: Counseling from Seattle University. I am an NBCC National Certified Counselor and an EMDRIA Certified Therapist in EMDR.
