Kathy specializes in helping clients cope with transitions and challenging or traumatic life events, ranging from loss of a loved one, divorce, moving, empty nest and retirement to sexual abuse and serious illness. She is an EMDR certified therapist, holds a certificate in grief and loss, and is board certified. Additional trainings include Gottman marital therapy training, Beck Institute CBT training, specialized trauma trainings, Dare to Lead Training, conflict resolution training, among many others. She continually seeks updated training on scientifically proven therapies, flexibly using what works best for each client.
Kathy knows how it feels to face profound life changes in quick succession followed by the need to rebuild your life. Her life experiences have strengthened her commitment to helping others (adults, teens, and couples) cope with trauma, life changes/transitions, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and relationship problems by helping clients find their own resilience and path back to a happier, healthier life.
