Dr. Sherry Beckmann is a Licensed Psychologist with the Oregon Board of Psychologist Examiners. She holds a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Washington School of Professional Psychology, Seattle, Washington, and a Masters of Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She specializes in neurobiology, complex PTSD, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, anxiety, anger, and similar emotional regulation challenges. She is a National Board-Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor in both Oregon and Washington. Sherry is a certified clinical supervisor for therapists seeking licensure.
Dr. Beckmann, a consultant of the International Board of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Institute, has been a facilitator for trainings in EMDR and provides case oversight to other clinicians interested in pursuing certification. She is a credentialed therapist in Accelerated Regulation Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Brain Spotting, and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
She is a specialist in trauma therapy which helps resolve the negative impact events can have on an individual’s quality of life. Sherry has advanced specialized training to treat military, police, firefighter, EMT, medical professionals and first-responder populations. Dr. Beckmann has extensive experience domestic violence and batterer intervention treatment. She holds advanced certification as a Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Alpha Stim CES for pain, depression, anxiety, and insomnia and is a HeartMath Neurofeedback clinician.
