Hello there!
My name is Dr Lynda Foulder-Hughes. I am an integrative Psychotherapist, trained in both the Flash Technique and EMDR, based in the UK.
My original ( starting point) training was as a state registered Occupational Therapist (OT). I held former full HCPC and Royal College of Occupational Therapy registration/ membership until I retired as an OT in 2019 (1991-2019), in order to fully focus, solely on my Psychotherapy practice.
My practice experience is with all ages: adults, young people and children, in hospitals, clinics, social care, voluntary organisations, education settings and television.
I offer an integrative approach including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy ( DBT), Humanistic counselling, compassion focused therapy, solution- focused brief therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, meditation and transpersonal counselling. This is a powerful toolkit which many people find extremely beneficial in addressing their difficulties.
I work compassionately, holistically, and integratively as no two people ( or their experiences of trauma) are the same.
I see clients either in person at my practice in South Somerset ( UK), or at a distance via Zoom.
I am fully accredited with the UKAHPP (a member organisation of UKCP) which is licenced by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) in the UK.
I bring over 30 years of therapy experience with me!
